Goal drought… again!

After 3 halves of football, scoring 10 goals, we came upon a resilient defense Sunday against the Westside Rangers.

Next week we will be at home where the great leveller, Connaught (dog hole) Park will provide the men in orange an opportunity to get something out of this game.

On a cold and foggy evening…

22nd Ave Lions – Meraloma at Andy Livingstone park.
First half domination 3 – 0 to the orange and we were looking strong.
An early goal to make it 4 and we were coasting. After a lot of pressure, they notched a goal and were heavily pressuring our goalkeeper (a bit too much) but we secured a late thump to make it 5. Final score 22nd Ave Lions 1 – Meraloma 5.

A solid game by everyone and a fun one to play in.
On a side note, last week we doubled our total goal count in one half of football only to score half our season goal tally last night in one game!
